10 Super Practical Things You Can Do Today to Serve in Your Home

  1. Refill the soap dispensers
  2. Refill the toilet paper
  3. Take out the garbage
  4. Run the washing machine and dryer
  5. Load the dishes in the dishwasher and run it
  6. Wipe the counters
  7. Help cook dinner
  8. Change your bed sheets
  9. Vacuum the hallway
  10. Mop the bathroom floors

Sometimes I wait until the soap dispenser has been empty for three days before I refill it…or I use tissues instead of walking over to the sink to refill the toilet paper…or I don’t take out the garbage until it looks like an erupting volcano. The above tasks are ten simple, easy ways to serve in your home. If you can serve in the home, then you can serve anywhere.

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:13-14 ESV)
