Real Recovery on The Boundless Show

Hi y’all, I’m super excited to share a podcast link with you for today’s post! It’s for The Boundless Show! This podcast is part of Boundless, a young adult ministry of Focus on the Family. For the Culture Segment of this podcast (which is about 30 minutes into this episode, wink wink), I discuss my journey through anorexia and my journey through recovery with host Lisa Anderson. From a typical day in the life of an anorexic to my current relationship with food, we covered a variety of eating disorder- and recovery-related topics.

Also, y’all should know that you can get a free copy of my book Real Recovery: What Eating Disorder Recovery Actually Looks Like simply by making a donation of any amount to the amazing Boundless ministry. I encourage you to check out this opportunity by clicking this link, which will take you to a Focus on the Family donation page.

Thank you to Lisa Anderson and the whole Boundless team for having me on the show—I had an absolute blast! To listen to this episode of Boundless, click here! Thanks for supporting the Boundless ministry and Real Recovery!

I included part of Psalm 69 because it corresponds so perfectly to my recent discussion with Lisa on The Boundless Show:

Save me, O God, for the waters have threatened my life. I have sunk in deep mire, and there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and a flood overflows me. I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched; my eyes fail while I wait for my God. But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, at an acceptable time; O God, in the greatness of Your lovingkindness, answer me with Your saving truth. Deliver me from the mire and do not let me sink; may I be delivered from my foes and from the deep waters. May the flood of water not overflow me nor the deep swallow me up, nor the pit shut its mouth on me. (Psalm 69:1-3, 13-15 NASB1995, emphasis mine)
