The Short Version

Grace McCready is an author, blogger, and speaker who’s passionate about encouraging young women through sharing personal stories and scriptural truths. She’s the author of Real Recovery: What Eating Disorder Recovery Actually Looks Like and blogger at Tizzie’s Tidbits of Truth. She’s also a full-time writer/editor for a Christian ministry. Although she doesn’t enjoy drinking black coffee, running marathons, or reading books, she does enjoy spending time with her family, chatting with her friends, and watching her favorite TV shows.

The Long Version

From writing picture books in elementary school to writing a short novel in high school, Grace McCready grew up wanting to share her stories with the world. She dreamed of being a published author one day. When she was 10 years old, she submitted her first story to a Christian publisher—which rejected her story but nonetheless inspired her to continue writing.

Fast forward to 2015. At her parents’ encouragement, Grace started Tizzie’s Tidbits (now Tizzie’s Tidbits of Truth—or TTT for short). She named her blog after the nickname her dad had given her when she was little (“Tizzie”). Initially, she posted sporadic ramblings on TTT, but she hoped her efforts would somehow lead to a book deal. Though she’s not an expert blogger now, she’s grown in her craft and consistency over the years. With each post, she desires to help young women grow in their faith by providing tidbits about the truth of God’s Word in a transparent way.

Besides managing TTT, Grace has been a guest speaker, podcaster, and writer for various organizations. She’s spoken at UncommonTEEN Live, as well as several churches, schools, and colleges. She’s also been a podcast guest on BRAVE, Faith-Filled Food Freedom, Old School Food Freedom, The Boundless Show, The Joyful Health Show, The One Thing Desired, UncommonTEEN, and Unpolished Faith. Her writing has been featured on Boundless, Girl Defined, Just Between Us, Lies Young Women Believe, Lifeway Young Adults, Open the Bible, Rooted Ministry, Salt + Sparrow, The Rebelution, Today’s Christian Living, Unlocked, Wholehearted Quiet Time, Wonderfully Made, and YouVersion. She’s the author of Real Recovery: What Eating Disorder Recovery Actually Looks Like.
