The Short Version

Grace McCready is a twenty-something author and speaker. Although she doesn’t enjoy drinking black coffee, running marathons, or reading books, she does enjoy spending time with her family, chatting with her friends, and watching her favorite TV shows. She graduated from Bryan College with a double major in Business Administration: Management + Communications, Media, and Culture. Her writing has been published across the web and in print. She is the author of Real Recovery: What Eating Disorder Recovery Actually Looks Like.

The Long Version

Grace McCready has dreamed of being a writer since she was a little girl. From writing picture books in elementary school to writing a short novel in high school, she grew up wanting to share her stories with the world. She submitted her first story to Christian publisher David C. Cook when she was 11 years old. She wanted so badly to be a published author, and her dream never died.

Fast forward to 2015, when Grace started Tizzie’s Tidbits (now Tizzie’s Tidbits of Truth) at her parents’ encouragement. She named her blog after the nickname that her dad gave her when she was little (“Tizzie”). She wrote very sporadically at first, posting her ramblings on different topics but hoping that her efforts would somehow lead to a book deal. Though she’s not a master blogger now, she did grow in her craft and consistency over the years.

Today, Grace shares a weekly blog post on Tizzie’s Tidbits of Truth (or TTT for short). Through TTT, she hopes to encourage young women by providing her personal tidbits about the truth of God’s Word in a transparent way. She seeks to reach young women who are struggling in their walk with Jesus by letting them see her own struggles. She shares personal stories + Scripture to encourage them, inspire them, and remind them that they’re not alone.

Besides managing TTT, Grace is a fulltime Proposal Coordinator for an IT consulting company, a Blog Writer for Wholehearted Quiet Time, and a speaker for young adults and parents. She has been a podcast guest for FCA BRAVE, The Boundless Show, and UncommonTEEN. Her writing has been featured on Boundless, Girl Defined, Just Between Us, Lies Young Women Believe, Lifeway Young Adults, Open the Bible, Rooted Ministry, Salt + Sparrow, Story Embers, The Rebelution, Wonderfully Made, and Unlocked magazine. She is the author of Real Recovery: What Eating Disorder Recovery Actually Looks Like. You can find out more about her book here!
