I’m a big fan of Paris—at least the idea of Paris. I’ve never actually been to Paris, but it’s on my bucket list. I own several canvas paintings that depict the Eiffel Tower. I even shared a (mostly positive) post about Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris not long ago. But even though it’s set in Paris, the TV show Emily in Paris is something I’ve purposely avoided—for one unavoidable reason.
You might not be familiar with Megan Woods because she’s new to the Christian music industry, but her song “The Truth” has been playing on Christian radio stations recently. Although I don’t know much about her, I know her song “The Truth” has some issues. Most of the lyrics don’t bother me, but the chorus makes me cringe—and honestly, it should make all Christians cringe.

White Bird: A Wonder Story is a movie I probably won’t see again, and there are a couple reasons for that. First, it felt super disconnected from Wonder—the movie it’s supposedly a sequel to. Plus, Wonder came out seven years ago and didn’t really need a sequel. But the second reason—the main reason—I didn’t like White Bird was its misleading message.
Once Upon a Time is a TV show that was popular several years ago but faded into obscurity. Even though people don’t talk about it much anymore, I decided to try to it—and I was hooked on it for a week or two. I watched episode after episode, making solid progress in the first season. I really wanted to like it, but I couldn’t get past the immorality.
I’m a sucker for Disney’s High School Musical series, which is probably why I like A Week Away so much. Yes, the plots and settings and characters are different, but the vibes are the same. Even though I wouldn’t call A Week Away a cinematic masterpiece, it’s definitely worth watching—especially if you’re a fellow fan of the High School Musical series.
I was pleased that weddings, marriage, and love were all celebrated in this Hallmark movie. Still, it felt like it was missing something. Honesty, it feels like all Hallmark movies are missing something.
When I shared my not-so-kind remarks on The Office last week, I promised to recommend a more wholesome resource to you this week. That resource is Unsung Hero. It’s truly one of the best faith-based films I’ve ever seen, and I hope this post will inspire you to see it for yourself.
When I had the idea of writing a post about The Office, I wasn’t sure if I should actually do it. I wanted to discuss my thoughts on this TV show, but I realized my thoughts on it weren’t positive. Obviously, I decided to go for it because you’re reading this post. Though I understand the words I share in this post might make you feel uncomfortable, I’m willing to say uncomfortable things if they ultimately help you grow in your relationship with God.
