It’s been a while since I’ve seen the first Unbroken movie, but I remember it being dark and depressing. To be honest, Unbroken: Path to Redemption was also pretty dark and depressing. But it had an incredibly joyful ending.
What Good Friday Means for Us Today
I could've written a post about the incredible power that Christ demonstrated through His resurrection or a post about the importance of focusing on victory this Sunday. But I want to focus on Good Friday for this post. I want to take a look at the seriousness and significant implications of this day. After all, Good Friday isn’t an abstract day that we simply hear about in Sunday school. It has incredible significance for us.
Living Most Abundantly
There are commands in the Bible. Trying to wish them away won’t make them disappear. But don’t let the commands scare you or discourage you. You’ll never ever ever be able to follow them all, but you can be the Christian who tries to live in obedience to them.
12 Percent
Remember that your “12% increase” in good deeds or kindness or love was worth nothing. Zilch. Zip. God’s immeasurable love for you is worth everything.
Bragging on Easter
Some people don’t know about the nails in His hands, His crown of thorns, and the empty tomb. We have a message to share! Our God is a great God. We bear His righteousness because of Jesus’ sacrifice. Share it. Spread it. Boast about our God.
