Let Tragedies Break Your Heart (but Don’t Let Them Shake Your Faith)

I don’t usually talk about politics here; it’s not my passion or my purpose for this blog. However, I’m grateful for my brothers and sisters in Christ who do talk about politics—and specifically for those who hold fast to God’s Word and communicate it boldly. That’s why I’m going to talk about politics in this post because—because last week, I lost a brother in Christ named Charlie Kirk who was killed simply because he held fast to God’s Word and communicated it boldly.

Dear Single Girl, You Don’t Enter Adulthood Alone

Single Girl, I realize there are few things in this life as scary as entering adulthood without a significant other. An adoring husband, two to five children, and a quaint little cottage—not a career—are the only things you’ve ever wanted for your life. Yet here you are—perhaps just a few days, weeks, or months from stepping into adulthood—with no husband, no children, and no home. Just a half-written cover letter and an empty resume.

Dear Single Girl, Get Outside Your Comfort Zone

I don’t judge you for any excuse that you’ve made in a desperate attempt to stay inside your comfort zone, but I want you to know that it’s really challenging to meet guys (and do other important things—life's not all about guys) if you stay inside your comfort zone. Don’t miss the opportunities in front of you simply because they might make you feel a bit uncomfy.

You Don’t Have to Be Superman to Be Courageous

Courage is more common than we think. Every single day, we are faced with opportunities to be strong and courageous…or to fearfully back down. I often choose to fearfully back down. I could try to complicate the reasons why I do this, or I could admit that I’m simply terrified and unwilling to trust my Savior.

For the Cowardly and Conceited

I believe that everything in life—especially the Christian’s life—is a balance. There’s a balance between being unwilling to use our gifts from God and being too willing to use them. You know what I mean by “too willing.” Basically, it means having an egotistical, superior attitude. Which category do you fit into?

Being Set Free

This world will not be free until it has the right worldview. And even though people are hard to dissuade, it is our job nonetheless to tell them the truth. Only then will they be free.
