How to Tell Your Parents About Your Porn Problem

Today's post was written by author Barb Winters, whose book Sexpectations: Helping the Next Generation Navigate Healthy Relationships was published earlier this year. Giving Thanks in the Wasteland

For the past (Two? Three? Four? More?) years, it feels like I’ve been walking through a boy wasteland. To be blunt, boys—specifically Christian single boys who are romantically interested in this Christian single girl—feel scarce. And to be even more blunt, even though I know Thanksgiving is approaching and I’m supposed to give thanks during this time of year, it’s hard to be thankful to God—who I know is capable of turning my boy wasteland into a flourishing paradise but hasn't.

2 Ways to Attract a Godly Guy

This post isn’t about what attracts guys in general—because guys who follow Jesus (hopefully) prioritize very different things than guys who don’t follow Jesus. However, this post is about how to attract guys who follow Jesus and two ways you can do that based on 1 Peter 3:3-4.

Why I’m Not a Fan of Lauren Daigle

I can't help but cringe when I think about that response.

I realize several of you who are reading this post aren’t single, so as a single girl, I want to share three ways you can pray for single girls like me. Maybe they work with you or they’re in your Bible study or they babysit your kids. However you know them, know they covet your prayers. And if you’re not exactly sure how to pray for them, here are a few suggestions that I highly recommend.

Why I Like (and Don’t Like) Surprised by Oxford

Though I’d never read Dr. Carolyn Weber’s memoir Surprised by Oxford, I highly anticipated the release of the movie Surprised by Oxford, which was—yup, you guessed it—based on the book. So when I saw it was coming out in theaters for a limited two-day release, I insisted on going to see it. After spending two hours watching a beautiful yet flawed love story unfold, I walked out of the theater feeling a mixture of bliss and disappointment.
