Today’s post is unique because it incorporates several Christmas carols into a poem. I’m so excited for you to read it! Hopefully, it’ll help you get in the Christmas spirit if you aren’t already!
Away in the manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head
But will He always keep
The promises He made?
O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
But how can I lie still
In this desolate night?
O come O come Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
But how can He ransom
My own life from Hell?
Joy to the world
The Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
But is He a king
Who can liberate me?
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing over the plains
Because our King Jesus
Now and always reigns
Silent night
Holy night
All is calm
All is bright
Because now I can see
His radiant light
O holy night
The stars are brightly shining
Because our perfect Savior
Was sent to restore the hurting
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Because Jesus saves us
And we have good news to share
Friends, remember that Christ is the reason that we celebrate Christmas. He came to Earth as a baby and lived a sinless life, but He also died for all of our sins and rose again. He offers to save us from sin and transform our lives. All we need to do is ask Him.
Merry Christmas!
“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:21-23 NASB1995)
