Wishing You a Merry Christmas!

Today is such an exciting day because it’s the day we celebrate Christ’s birth. God knew that we could never be sinless on our own, but He sent His Son to Earth to be born, live a sinless life, die on the cross, and rise again to pay for all of our sins. We didn’t deserve redemption, but He laid down His life to redeem us and free us from sin.

When we choose to accept His offer of salvation by trusting in His death, resurrection, and complete payment for our sins, we belong to Him. We’re no longer separated by sin, and nothing can change that. When God looks at us, He no longer sees our wicked hearts. Instead, He sees His Son’s righteousness, which fully covers us. This doesn’t mean we won’t sin anymore. Rather, it means that when we do sin, we can simply ask for His forgiveness and be cleansed.

I’d highly recommend reading Luke 1-2 today to remember all the details of the Christmas story. Here’s an excerpt of it:

The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.” (Luke 1:30-33 NASB)

I hope that this true story inspires, encourages, and strengthens you during this Christmas season. May you see His greatness this Christmas. Merry Christmas!
