People can be cruel, and Satan is always cruel to us. But when we call upon God, when we lean upon Him, and when we trust in Him, He will rescue us from the deepest waters.
Standing in Grace
One of the many incredible aspects of God’s grace is that it doesn’t go away once we are saved. He doesn’t show us His grace for salvation alone. There is an endless supply of it! That's what this poem is about.
Christmas Carol Medley
Today's post is unique because it incorporates several Christmas carols into a poem. I'm so excited for you to read it! Hopefully, it'll help you get in the Christmas spirit if you aren't already!
If Everything I Knew Disappeared
Today's post includes a poem about our struggle to let go of (or even simply loosen our grip on) the things in this life that we value too highly. The truth is that this life is temporary—so everything in it that you treasure could disappear in an instant. Except for Jesus. He isn't temporary like everything else we know. And He alone remains when nothing else does. So instead of clinging to temporary treasures, cling to the One who always was, is and will be.
Sermons of Ourselves
The focus of this poem is pride—a sin that is addressed many times in Scripture yet is often treated lightly by Christians. Sadly, many Christians focus more on building their platforms and being in the spotlight than on glorifying God. But that's not what we're called to do, friends. We're called to humble ourselves and point people to Christ alone.
Creator on the Cross
I decided to spice up the monotony of blogging and try writing a poem for this special day. By the way, I am not a poet. At all. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy reading my jumbled mess of words and feel encouraged on this blessed day.
