I realize that Valentine’s Day is over, but that doesn’t mean our feelings of loneliness are gone. If you’re single, you may be especially depressed this time of year. The good news is that you don’t have to be depressed. Even if you’re still single, you’re not alone. In fact, you’re loved immeasurably by Jesus Christ.
If love is in the air,
Then where is my dearest lover?
If love is in the air,
Why have we not met each other?
If love is in the air,
Then why do I feel so alone?
If love is in the air,
Where is my knight to take me home?
If love is in the air,
Why are we not together yet?
If love is in the air,
Why won’t this loneliness just end?

But love is in the air.
Yes, love is in our midst.
Love was in Your voice
As You said, “Let there be light.”
Love was in Your plan
As You formed husband and wife.
Love was in Your heart
As You left high heaven’s throne.
Love was in Your gaze
As You faced the cross alone.
Love was in Your steps
As You walked out of the tomb.
Love was in Your hands
As You knit me in the womb.
Love was in Your call
As You beckoned me from hell.
Love was in Your eyes
As You raised me when I fell.

Love was even in Your plan
As You called me to this place.
If You had not brought me here,
I would not have met Your grace.
Though I long to meet my prince,
He will not fulfill my heart.
He will never match Your love;
For You’ve loved me from the start.
I know love is in the air;
There’s no questioning it now.
Yes, Your love is always here
And will never let me down.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 ESV)
